I've taken a lot of twists and turns
1.
I was born and raised in Richmond, Texas.
2.
I went to community college and earned my associate degree in liberal arts.
3.
I was going to transfer to the University of Houston but I started making bad decisions and lost focus.
4.
I started working in construction and started my own small business as a subcontractor, but I was still making negative lifestyle choices.
5.
After causing an accident at work, I decided to try a different path and go to trade school.
6.
I went to Texas State Technical College and graduated from the electrical power and control program.
7.
I now work for a plastic pipe manufacturer doing electrical and mechanical maintenance—not only do I love the job, but I’m also able to provide more than enough for my family!

When I went back to school, I was one of the older students in the class. It was challenging to balance school, work, and family, but I was driven and motivated to succeed so that I could land a good job and provide for myself and my family.
