Life & Career Milestones
My path in life has been direct
1.
When I first started college, my goal was to just work hard and graduate because my main priority was to get rich.
2.
I got involved with a youth group and realized there is more meaning to life than just making money—I discovered that connecting with people is what really brings me fulfillment.
3.
I became a leader within the youth group, where I helped give guidance and direction to other youth.
4.
I graduated with an engineering degree but I knew that I’d actually rather work in a space where I’m connecting with and helping other people.
5.
I volunteered with the youth group for six years as I introduced faith within my life and got more guidance for what I wanted to do.
6.
I moved to the United States from the Philippines when I was about 28 years old because I was following my fiancée and her family.
7.
I now work as an employment program manager for the Employment Development Department.
